PICC

A PICC (Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter) is a thin, soft tube that is inserted via a peripheral vein in, e.g., the crook of the arm, to a major blood vessel close to the heart. Since the catheter is located in a major blood vessel with good blood flow, it can be used over an extended period to provide medicine and nutritional solutions.
